Diaromas

Water Diaroma's

Both my final piece's are Diaromas, My final piece based in the reservoir will have water in it as part of the environmnet. So I did a little research into water diaromas, and here are a few that I found and liked, my favourite is the right hand corner one where you can see through the sides but the top has a wavy texture.
The water of my reseorvoir is dark, cold, and still giving it a mirror like surface. As its a diaroma and you'll be able to view the water from the side as well as on top, I will build it as if it was made like the one above (like a cube) perhaps with a slight ripple on the top rather than a wavey texture. But then I imagine will have to play around with caustics to get the lighting right.
In the book the water that is nearest the stones is almost half water half magic, I'm not sure if I will try to achieve this affect is it will be overly complicated and not add to the asthetic.
